SINGAPORE: Two kittens were found dismembered
outside a HDB flat in Yishun Ring Road on Sunday.
A resident who found the carcasses alerted a volunteer from the Cat
Welfare Society about the find.
A photo of the kittens was posted on the Facebook page of the Cat
Welfare Society.
The photo shows the cat's severed head, as well as what looks like
a limb and tail.
Police were alerted at about 10.30pm that night of the find at a
unit outside Block 115 B.
The Cat Welfare Society says its volunteers will be going door to
door in the area to appeal for information and to raise awareness
about animal abuse.
Ms Veron Lau, president of the Cat Welfare Society, said the
volunteers also followed the police to comb the area but they did
not find any blood stains.
"So it seems like a pretty clean job - the dismemberment of the
kittens," she said. "We've also alerted the Agri-Food and
Veterinary Authority and SPCA about this case."
