Hello!
I am a Singaporean but have been living overseas for many years.
I came back about 4 months ago and recently got my SPF enlistment letter (June 11).
I'll be going into enlistment day alone and I'm a little confused of how things work.
I didn't do my NAPFA test so I have to do an 8-week physical training phase programme followed by a 14-week basic police training.
I have a few questions..
1. 'You are not allowed to leave the Home Team Academy during the first 10 days of training.' Does this mean the first 10 days after my enlistment on June 11th? or the BPT (8 weeks after)?
2. I understand you're not allowed to wear contact lenses in the army, due to jungle and no clean water or something.. How bout police?
3. Anything else to bring to enlistment other than soap, toothstuff, shaving stuff, slippers, pyjamas, padlock? Do I really need an alarm clock and clothes washing powder and detergent?
Thanks!
Anyone else like me enlisting with questions or comments please comment :)
I don't know many people here so I'm looking forward to enlisting and making new friends!
