SINGAPORE: Several roads and lanes will be closed
this weekend for the annual Thaipusam festival which will be held
on 27 January.
These include the extreme left lane of Hastings Road and Dunlop Street and some
closures will start from 3pm on 26 January.
Auxiliary police officers will be deployed at all
affected road junctions to regulate traffic and assist
motorists.
Police said parking restriction along the peripheral
roads will be strictly enforced. Vehicles found to be parked
indiscriminately or causing obstruction will be towed
away.
Public transport operators SBS Transit and SMRT
buses serving the affected roads will be diverted during the road
closures.
