SINGAPORE : The number of complaints lodged with Singapore's consumer watchdog rose by 15.7 per cent in 2012, with the biggest number revolving around the motor industry.
The Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) handled 25,733 cases in 2012, compared with 22,240 cases in 2011.
It helped to resolve 74.3 per cent of the cases and
played a role in recovering a total of S$3.3 million.
The beauty industry had the second-biggest share of complaints,
followed by electrical and electronics.
